[Starting and Ending Shifts](https://support.blaze.me/articles/pos-tablet?hsLang=en#starting-and-ending-shifts) # POS (Tablet) | Logging into the POS ## Understand the difference between the Device ID Passwords and Employee POS Passcodes Your store could have one (1) or several POS devices assigned to a single location.  Keep in mind that you can only login to a single POS Device on a single piece of hardware.  A common mistake stores can make is to log into a single POS Device ID on multiple pieces of hardware - whether iPad, Android tablet or WebPOS (PC). Doing this will cause issues with sales totals, employee activity and shift tracking.  This is not recommended practice. ### POS Device Passwords For new stores, your onboarding specialist will create and provide credentials for your POS Devices via email.
