[General](https://support.blaze.me/articles/pos-tablet?hsLang=en#general) # POS (Tablet) | Shifts ## Review a history of shifts, both in-progress and closed, and adjust float counts from your POS. *\*Please note: BLAZE does **not** recommend that sales shifts be used in place of a timesheet or other time-keeping application for payroll purposes. Employee hours are only captured when clocked into an active shift.* ### Shifts To view your POS shifts: - Tap the **Gr logo** on the top left of your POS screen to open the POS sidebar - Tap **Shifts** - Tap **Load more** to view older shifts - Tap the **Gr logo** on the top left of your POS screen to return to the POS sidebar Here you can see a list of all shifts, both in-progress and closed, that have occurred on the POS device you are currently logged into. From left to right: - Details (Tap to view **shift receipt**) - Start time and date - Close time and date - Total shift time in hours - Adjust float (Tap to display the **cash management** screen) [![](https://support.blaze.me/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/downloads_intercomcdn_comio258954873b95525d03b7293d574676efeimage-Jul-25-2023-05-27-33-5430-AM-1.png?width=688&height=499&name=downloads_intercomcdn_comio258954873b95525d03b7293d574676efeimage-Jul-25-2023-05-27-33-5430-AM-1.png)](https://support.blaze.me/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/image-Jul-25-2023-05-27-33-0482-AM-1.png?hsLang=en) *\*Please note: The start and end times of your shifts should align with the daily opening and closing of your business, however, you can start and end multiple shifts during your business hours as needed.*  ### Shift Receipts Tap on a shift to open the **shift receipt** Tap **Close** to return to the **Shifts** page [![](https://support.blaze.me/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/downloads_intercomcdn_comio2577416827c13461426f1e162a2e63316image-Jul-25-2023-05-27-33-8840-AM-1.png?width=688&height=409&name=downloads_intercomcdn_comio2577416827c13461426f1e162a2e63316image-Jul-25-2023-05-27-33-8840-AM-1.png)](https://support.blaze.me/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/image-Jul-25-2023-05-27-32-6277-AM-1.png?hsLang=en)   A **shift receipt** displays all relevant information about the shift you have selected.  - Print time (The time the shift receipt was opened) - Company name - Location name - Device (The POS device the shift is assigned to) - Shift ID (For internal use) - Shift start date - Shift end date - Starting float (Cash float counted at the start of the shift) - End float (Cash float counted at the end of a shift) - Cash count (Only displayed when a shift has been closed and the ending float has been counted and entered into the POS) - Shift totals (By payment method or type) - Inventory (only displayed when **Show inventory sold** has been toggled on) - Cash Movements (Cash drops, pay outs, pay ins and no sales) - Employees (Employees who have logged into the selected shift) To the right of the **shift receipt:** - Print Receipt (Print the currently selected **shift receipt**) - Show inventory sold (Toggle on to add a list all inventory sold during the currently selected shift to the **shift receipt.** *\*Please note: Toggling this option on may result in extremely long shift receipts being printed.
