BLAZE has a harvest process that allows you to easily add plants to a harvest and also the ability to create what we call a Harvest Draft. Below is a video walkthrough and under that are the written details for each section.
We have implemented a new harvest process that allows you to more easily add plants to your harvest as well as the ability to create what we call a Harvest Draft. Let's take a quick look at the difference between a Regular Harvest and a Harvest Draft:
- Regular Harvest
- An "Open Harvest" meaning you can still add plants to the Harvest
- Harvest and plants have been sent to and recorded in Metrc or other TTS(Track and Trace System)
- Flowering plants that were a part of (or have been added to) the harvest are now inactive as they have been harvested
- Harvest Draft
- An "Open Harvest" meaning you can still add plants to the Harvest
- Has NOT been sent to or recorded in Metrc or other TTS
- Harvest exists as a "Draft" in Blaze
- Flowering plants on a draft are still actively in Flowering
To Create a Harvest Draft:
1. Click the + to create a new Harvest from scratch
OR
2a. From a plant tile in the Flowering stage, click the (action button) to open the action menu and choose Move to Harvest
2b. Select the plants you are harvesting by clicking on the ✓ to the left of the respective Metrc plant tag(s) and click Harvest.
3. Complete the Harvest Plants pop-up window.
Harvest Name: Name of the strain and date of the harvest.
Note: It is recommended that you check your state's regulation regarding harvest batch naming conventions as some require a specific naming convention for compliance.
No Of Plants: Automatically completed by the number of the plants selected.
Directly to drying: Will send completed harvest with all waste entered directly to Dry Stage.
Note: if you chose this option, then when you choose Harvest it will be sent to Dry and no longer available for adding future plants.
Room: Select the room from the drop-down menu.
Product Wet Weight (after waste): Will automatically calculate as you enter the individual plant Weight per plant/Metrc Tag below.
Weight Type: It is strongly recommended that you select grams for all packages as it will be easier for manufacturers and retailers down the production line; simplifying compliance by mitigating risk due to messy decimals and conversion rates.
Total waste: Any waste; for example fan leaves or stalks, in addition to that original Product Wet Waste. Please see your local regulations for exact definition of what plant parts must be recorded as waste.
Harvest Date: Select the harvest date.
Total Weight: Total Waste plus combined plant weight or Product Wet Weight
Weight (Per Plant/Metrc Tag ID): Weight of each plant per Metrc Tag.
Search Plants: Shown in the drop down will be the Metrc Tags for the specific strain you're currently preparing to harvest.
Note: If you have a barcode scanner, scan the Metrc Tag and the plant will be added to the list
4. Review the Harvest Plants pop-up window for accuracy and click Save Draft.
Save Draft: This will save and close the draft
Save and Continue: This will save your progress and allow you to continue to work
Harvest Plants: This will send the plants and harvest to Metrc
5. The Harvest Draft will be shown under the Harvest section and marked as a (Draft)
6. Click the Action Button to continue to Edit Draft
Note: If the same plant is added to multiple Harvest Drafts, Blaze will send and record that plant with the first harvest. This prevents the same plant from being harvested more than once. The plants that existed in another Harvest Draft will be removed from the active Harvest Draft and moved to the "Show Excluded Plants" list.
7. Once your finished with the Harvest Draft and are ready to complete your Harvest, choose Harvest Plants
8. Congratulations! You've completed a Harvest!
