Online Spence Orders
The primary use of Spence inside of BLAZE is to allow for online delivery/pickup orders to be pre-paid.
The pre-pay process begins with the user placing an order on any of your online menus. When the order is placed the transaction will appear as an Incoming Order in the dispatch section of BLAZE.
Once the incoming order appears, click Order Details on the right side, and on the following page Accept the order.
Once the order has been accepted, this will trigger an automated SMS to the phone number used to checkout online. The SMS contains a Payment Link that will direct the customer to the Spence platform to either Sign Up or Login to Spence.
Once the customer has pre-paid for the order, no further action needs to be taken until the product(s) are delivered or picked up. When this does happen, whether you are on the BLAZE Website, Retail app, or Delivery app, you will find the Spence payment is already applied to the transaction and the only action you can take is Complete the order.
Walk-in Spence Orders
Some customers may decide to pay with Spence during a Walk-in transaction. Spence can be manually triggered via the BLAZE Website (Retail and Delivery app support coming soon).
To manually trigger the Spence integration, follow normal check-out procedures via the POS tab of the BLAZE website, until you reach the page to select a payment method. Once here, select Spence and click Pay on the following prompt.
Once you have clicked Pay the customer will automatically get the Spence SMS with the Payment Link and another small window will appear on BLAZE showing the status of the payment.
When the customer has successfully paid for the transaction, the window will reflect it immediately.
Click Close on this window and you will see the Spence payment applied to the transaction just like an Online Spence Order. You can now Complete the transaction.
