How to configure and use scheduled delivery with BLAZE ECOM
What Is Scheduled Delivery?
Scheduled delivery gives customers the option to select a time slot when placing delivery orders on your website or mobile app. This time window is saved on the order and passed through to the Point of Sale.
Customers will see the Scheduled Delivery option under Delivery Type at checkout
When they select it, they are prompted to choose their day/time based on your settings
Setting Up Scheduled Delivery
Part 1: Enable Inventory
In order to use Scheduled Delivery, you must toggle Scheduled Delivery on for any eligible Mission Control inventory locations.
Use the "Inventories" tab to see all inventories that are synced over from your point of sale
Part 2: Scheduled Delivery Configurations
Go to Settings > Delivery and scroll down to the section called "Scheduled Deliveries". You will need to enable the "Allow Scheduled Deliveries" toggle on the right side to see the expanded options as shown below:
Now lets go through each setting:
- Ordering hours allow you to set a unique time window for each day of the week where deliveries can be scheduled
- Special hours allow you to set up events or weekly occurring time windows when delivery will not be available
- The Time Slot determines the size of the time windows that customers can select within your daily delivery hours
- Ex) 2 hours means customers can choose 8am-10am / 10am-12pm / 12pm-2pm / etc
- Customers can only select a time slot before its start time begins
- The Buffer allows you to set a requirement on how far ahead of the next time slot a customer needs to place their order
- Ex) If the buffer is 20 minutes, then a customer will have to place an order at 9:40am or earlier to select the 10:00am-12:00pm time slot
- Ordering Max Time controls how many hours/days in advance a customer can place an order
- By default the system will max out at 2 days, but you can reach out to support to enable this for up to 7 days
- Default Order Limit gives you the option to limit how many customers can order within the same daily time slot
- Ex) If the buffer is 8 and customers place 8 orders for the 10:00am-12:00pm time slot, then customers will not see that time slot available for the rest of the day
Part 3: Define Your Delivery Area

Define your delivery area inside of Mission Control by going to Settings > Delivery
Then scroll down to "Scheduled Delivery Service Area" (Scheduled Delivery must be enabled to see this)
Ensure "Allow delivery area restrictions is enabled" then enter your zip codes separated by commas into the "Restricted Zip Codes" list
Double check you click Save on both after updating your delivery area
Part 4: (Optional) Add Helper Text
