Growth | Growth Onboarding & Setup FAQs

This guide addresses common questions, configuration steps, and critical gotchas when onboarding a customer onto BLAZE Growth. It covers SMS setup (10DLC), email domain authentication (DNS), loyalty points, customer wallet cards, and overall account activation.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the BLAZE Growth administrative interface.
  • access@blaze.me link to request DNS access from the merchant.
  • Submitted 10DLC form for SMS registration.

Setup & Frequently Asked Questions

1. 10DLC & SMS Setup
  • What is the first step when onboarding onto Growth?

Submit the 10DLC form immediately, ideally during the initial onboarding call. Tiers, multipliers, and expiration rules can be configured while the form is under review.
  • How long does 10DLC approval take?

Approval typically takes 36–48 hours. During review, the status displays as "awaiting approval" / "in progress", transitioning to "connected/approved" once complete.
  • Who fills in the API Key / Token fields on the SMS setup page?

Leave these fields blank. The BLAZE team monitors 10DLC approval status and will populate these once you are approved.
  • Why does creating an SMS template trigger a "Forbidden" error after 10DLC approval?

10DLC application approval is separate from technical API connection. If a "Forbidden" error occurs, email ecomsupport@blaze.me with a screenshot so they can finalize the connection.
2. Email & DNS Setup
  • What is required to enable email sending?

The merchant must grant DNS access to their domain so BLAZE ECOM Support can configure and verify your domain to validate the sending domain.
  • Do returning or existing ECOM customers need to grant DNS access again?

Yes. DNS access is routinely revoked after initial tasks are completed. Merchants must grant access again via access@blaze.me.
  • What should be done if campaign emails land in a recipient's spam folder?

If domain validation, physical addresses, preview text, and opt-out links are properly configured, deliverability depends on the recipient's spam filter and domain reputation. Instruct affected recipients to mark the email as "Not Spam" to train their provider's filter.
3. Loyalty Tiers & Points
  • What is the default point expiration period?

New shops automatically default to 186 days (~6 months).
  • How do you set points to never expire?

To disable point expiration, manually enter a high value, such as 999999999999, in the expiration setting.
4. Customer Status & Wallet Cards
  • What is the difference between Confirmed and Unconfirmed customers?

POS customers are confirmed by default. ECOM customers become "Confirmed" once they complete contact info verification and log in.
  • How can customers download their Loyalty Wallet Card?

Wallet card links can be sent individually via email or generated as a QR code from the customer's Growth profile.
  • Can wallet card links be sent in bulk?

No. Wallet card links are unique to each customer. For bulk adoption on ECOM, direct logged-in customers to their /my-account URL, which prompts them to add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
  • Do wallet card update notifications consume SMS credits?

No. Wallet card update pings are push notifications and do not consume SMS credits.
