      ECOM | How to install the ECOM Wordpress Plug-in

      This article will explain how to install the ECOM Wordpress Plugin, which will integrated the ECOM menu(s) to your Wordpress content site and main domain.

       

      IMPORTANT NOTES:

      • This ECOM WP Plugin does NOT integrate with GoDaddy Hosting. If using GoDaddy to host your main domain, please let your Onboarding Coach know ASAP!
      • The ECOM WP Plugin will conflict with any pre-existing reverse proxy configurations in the domain DNS setting.
      • The unique API Token for the WP Plugin must be created by our Engineering team and takes up to TWO business days.

      1. Download this zip file and have the License key ready that we will provide you before starting the installation process.

      2. Please provide your WordPress address URL and site address URL if different. This can be found in General settings.

        1. The Onboarding or Support team will create the unique API Token/License key for your store and share with your Web/IT Developer.
        2. This ECOM WP Plugin does NOT integrate with GoDaddy Hosting. If using GoDaddy to host your main domain. Your domain can be registered with GoDaddy, but must be hosted in a different environment.
          1. We recommend WP Engine, Flywheel and Siteground as hosting environments.
        1. The creation of the API Token can take up to TWO BUSINESS DAYS.

      Go to your WordPress admin site.

      1. Click on "Plugins" and then "Add New".

      2. Click on "Upload Plugin".

      3. Click on the "Choose File" button and select the plugin file you downloaded earlier to your computer and click install now.

      4. WordPress will now upload the plugin file from your computer and install it for you.

      5. Once the installation is complete click on Activate plugin

      6. You will see a success message saying the plugin is now activated after the installation is finished and it will now be in your list of plugins.

      7. On the left-hand side panel, you will now see a new option to select from called Tymber Shop that will click on next

      8. Finally, you will paste the License key we provide beforehand in the API Token field and click on save changes. You will see a success message saying “Settings saved” and you have now successfully installed the WP Plugin. If you see an error code please contact us back at support to assist further.

        1. Please note: Once the API Token has been added and the Plugin is active, the ECOM menu will be live on the defined url pathname. Please disable the plugin if the ECOM menu pathname will be the same as the existing ecommerce

           

      If using a WordPress Multisite environment, please follow the steps below:

      How to install WP Plugin on WordPress Multisite Network 

      1. Install Plugin on the Network BUT DO NOT ACTIVATE THE PLUGIN
      2. Go to child site and activate the plugin.
      3. Go to Tymber Shop plugin's setting page and Add API Key
