Retail | Cashless ATM Network Requirements

In order for the card readers to function on your WiFi network it is important your network supports a 2.4ghz connection and the network must be accessible by password only. Typically your internet service provider should set you up with a default 2.4ghz network connection, and sometimes you will have an additional 5ghz network connection available.

If your only available network is 5ghz you need to enable the 2.4ghz option before going live with BLAZEPAY. You can either contact your internet service provider for help or follow the below generic steps that represent the general flow regardless of your router model:

  1. Access Router's Configuration Page:
    1. Find your router's IP address, it is usually printed on the router itself, but you can also use https://whatismyipaddress.com/ to find your public IP.
    2. Open a web browser and enter the IP address into the address bar.
  2. Log in using the username and password, which if you have not changed them, they are often "admin" or found on the router itself.
  3. Locate Wireless Settings:
    1. Navigate to the "Wireless," "Wireless Settings," or a similar section within the router's configuration.
  4. Enable 2.4 GHz Band:
    1. Look for options to enable or disable the 2.4 GHz band. Some routers might also have options for separate SSIDs for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
    2. If you have a dual-band router, you'll likely see options to enable both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, allowing you to connect devices to either network.

If your router does not support a 2.4ghz network connection, you will instead need to use SIM cards in your card readers to enable internet connection. You can reach out to pay- support@blaze.me to ask for more information about SIM cards.
