Retail | Company Products | Cannabis Values

The Cannabis Tab within Company Products allows retailers to define essential regulatory and descriptive metadata for cannabis items. This data ensures that products are categorized correctly for compliance, inventory tracking, and the consumer-facing menu.

Prerequisites

  • Company Products must be enabled for your organization.

  • Access to Company Inventory > Company Products.

Accessing the Cannabis Tab

  1. Navigate to Company Products.

  2. Select an existing product or click Create New Product.

  3. Click on the Cannabis tab.

Field Definitions

The following fields are available to define the specific characteristics of the cannabis product:

Field Description / Options
Cannabis Type Inherited by the product category by default; can be manually adjusted to match a specific type.
Flower Type Select the strain classification: Sativa, Sativa Dominant, Indica, Indica Dominant, Hybrid, CBD, Balanced, or Blend.
Cannabis Weight Measured in g, mg, or oz.
Cannabis Volume Measured in ml or fl oz.
Net Product Weight The total weight of the product, measured in g, mg, ml, oz, or fl oz.
Sell Type Defines who can purchase the product: Both, Recreational, or Medicinal.

Most fields in the Cannabis Tab will pull default settings based on the Category assigned to the product. However, users can manually override these fields at the company level to ensure the product profile accurately reflects the physical inventory.

NOTE: Ensure that the Cannabis Weight or Volume is accurately recorded, as this data is often used by the system to calculate state-mandated equivalency limits at the Point of Sale.
