Retail | Company Products | Potency Values

Retailers can now manage cannabinoid profiles at the company level. This centralized management eliminates the need to manually copy and paste potency data across multiple shops, establishing Company Products as the definitive “source of truth” for your entire product catalog.

Prerequisites

  • Company Products must be enabled for your organization.

  • Access to the Company Inventory > Company Products section.

  • Standardized lab results for the product (measured in mg or %).

The Potency Tab

A dedicated Potency tab is located within the product details view. This tab consolidates all lab data into a single, organized interface featuring 12 standardized fields arranged in two columns.

The following cannabinoids are supported:

  • Total THC & THCa

  • Total CBD & CBDa

  • CBN

  • CBG

NOTE: Each cannabinoid value can be toggled and measured in either mg or % depending on your specific lab results.

Managing Lab Overrides

Because batches often vary by retail location, the Potency tab supports full location overrides. This allows you to maintain unique lab data for specific shops while keeping the main product profile linked.

  1. Navigate to the Potency tab of a product.

  2. Click the Pencil Icon to open the Potency Overrides drawer.

  1. Click Add.

  2. Select the specific Shop or Shops that require unique values.

  3. Enter the specific potency values for those locations.

  4. Click Add if additional override profiles are needed for other locations, then Save.

Sync & Data Integrity

The system utilizes a bi-directional sync to ensure all locations stay updated:

  • Global-to-Local: When potency values are saved at the company level, the system automatically updates the cannabinoid metadata for all linked shop-level products.

  • Local-to-Global: If potency values are edited at the shop level, the system automatically creates or updates a Location Override in the Company Product dashboard.

Duplicate Product Safety Check

To prevent data corruption and ensure compliance accuracy, the system includes a safety check for duplicated products:

  • When a product containing lab results is duplicated, the system automatically removes the batchNumber and ID from the metadata.

  • This ensures the new product receives a unique batch link and is not accidentally tethered to the same laboratory batch number as the original.
