Retail | Product Catalog: Viewing Change History
Every record within the BLAZE Product Catalog automatically maintains a detailed change log. You can use the change history to track updates, audit recent catalog adjustments, and see who modified specific settings without needing to submit a support ticket.
Prerequisites
- Access to the BLAZE Web Portal.
- Appropriate permissions to view and edit company Product Catalog entities.
Where to Find Change History
You can access the audit log by opening any catalog record for editing and selecting its History tab. Change logs are available across all six catalog entities:
- Products
- Categories
- Brands
- Vendors
- Sales Prices
- Pricing Templates

Understanding Change Details
The history log tracks granular, field-level updates to give you complete visibility into catalog modifications:
- Field-Level Tracking: Shows the exact user, timestamp, and field modified—including precise "Old Value" and "New Value" details (e.g., displaying the previous retail price alongside the newly updated price).
- Bulk Operation Tracking: Captures changes applied via CSV bulk imports and onboarding wizards so you can verify the exact records an import touched.
NOTE: New audit log entries may take up to 5 minutes to process and display after an update is saved. If you do not see a recent change immediately, refresh the page after a brief moment.
Common Use Cases
| Scenario | How Change History Helps |
| Price & Status Audits | Identify who changed a product's price or active status at a specific store location and when the edit occurred. |
| Import Verification | Confirm the exact fields and values altered during a bulk CSV import. |
| Deactivation Tracking | See when a product or brand was disabled and review which user made the update. |
