Learn the delivery settings for your BLAZE ECOM menu
Welcome
We are here to help your deliveries grow. BLAZE ECOM provides a wide range of options allowing you to deliver from your store inventory, dynamically collect orders from roving vehicles, offer scheduled time windows, and choose whether to configure your delivery area using a zip code list or draw KML zones.
We will cover the basics of how to set up delivery and recommend first time users read through the whole article. However if you are searching for information on a more advanced feature, you can jump to one of the following articles:
- How to set up scheduled deliveries
- How to set up express deliveries
- How to use a KML delivery area
(must choose between zip codes or KML files to define your delivery area) - (BLAZE POS Users) Use Dispatch Pro to create delivery regions with additional configurations
The Basics
First we will walk through how to access the delivery settings and configure delivery out of your store (also referred to as pizza style). Many of these settings are important regardless of your delivery style.
Step 1: Access Delivery Settings (Settings > Deliveries)
Step 2: Initial Configuration
- Delivery Checkout Driver's License Required controls whether customers must upload a driver's license image to their customer account before placing their first delivery order
- Delivery Checkout With Selfie ID Upload controls whether customers must upload a selfie image to their customer account before placing their first delivery order
- Delivery ASAP Orders Allowed enables "Asap Delivery" as an option at checkout and is the most commonly used delivery method we offer
- Force Delivery Address requires customers to verify their delivery address on the website before adding products and building their delivery order
Step 3: Delivery Area and Delivery Minimums
Delivery minimum and delivery area should both be set up inside of BLAZE POS. For partners using a different Point of Sale, you can set up your order minimum and delivery area inside of Mission Control.
Warning: Anything set inside of Mission Control will override your Point of Sale settings.
Please proceed to the section of this step that matches your point of sale.
Part 1: BLAZE Point of Sale Users
Set up your global delivery region inside of your POS Global Settings > Current Shop Settings> Online Store > Available Areas
Set up your delivery minimum and fees inside of your POS Global Settings > Current Shop Settings> Fee Minimums
Choose Cart Minimum to set up your delivery order minimum. Choose the "Simple" Configuration to set one global minimum or "Zip Code" to create multiple minimums based on zip code.
Part 2: Other Point Of Sale Users
Set up your Delivery Order Minimum via the slider inside of Mission Control > Settings > Delivery This will be based on the total value of the cart (taxes, fees, discounts included)
Reminder: BLAZE POS users should not use these settings as it will override the delivery settings inside the point of sale.
Set up your Delivery Area by scrolling down and entering your eligible zip codes into the Scheduled Delivery Service Area. Ensure "Allow delivery area restrictions" is selected.
You must enable Scheduled Deliveries to access this section. You can disable it after entering your zip codes if you don't want to offer scheduled delivery as a checkout option
Step 4: Enable Inventories For Delivery
You must select which inventory locations are eligible for delivery in your Mission Control Inventories tab.
- Scheduled delivery must be toggled on if you want your inventory location eligible for asap delivery or scheduled deliveries
- You will also have to enable scheduled delivery separately in your delivery settings if you want to offer scheduled time windows
- Express delivery must be toggled on if you want your inventory location eligible for express deliveries (we will cover express delivery further down the article)
- The inventory must be active to be eligible for any delivery orders
Scheduled Deliveries
In addition to ASAP orders, you can also offer delivery with scheduled time windows. This will allow your customers to choose a time slot during the checkout process. You can enable this in your Mission Control Delivery Settings.

Express Deliveries
Want to deliver directly out of the inventory inside your delivery vehicles? Express delivery allows you to assign a unique delivery area to individual vehicles and utilize the "Ice cream truck" model. You can enable this in your Mission Control Delivery Settings.
Click here for our walkthrough explaining how to enable and use express deliveries.
KML Delivery Zones
By default, we will have your delivery area defined by a list of zip codes. However you can also use KML files to draw your delivery area on the map. You can define a global delivery area or map zones for your individual express inventories. If you choose to use KML files, you need to use them for all delivery areas. They cannot be merged with zip codes.
