ECOM | Managing Promotional Banners on the ECOM Menu

Create and duplicate custom banners. These can be promotional, informational, and linkable. They will slide across the top of all menu pages.

Banner Image file size should be no larger than 500 KB.

Create Banners

1) Log into ECOM Mission Control via ecom.blaze.me and click on Banners in the bottom left

2) Click "Add Banner" and add a separate banner image for desktop and mobile users 



3) Duplicate existing banners by pressing the 3 dots on the far right and selecting "Duplicate"

4) Upload a desktop image and mobile image to ensure a banner image populates on both browser types. The recommended image dimensions are shown on the upload screen.

5) Set up a Title and Description to label your banners for your team's view in Mission Control

6) Destination URLs allow you to paste a URL that customers will be directed to when they click/tap on the banner

  • We recommend using these to direct customers to relevant menu pages that align with the products you are promoting
  • You can also direct customers to your mobile-app menu pages using the menu pages outlined in our guide here

7) Use the "Publish" dropdown to set your banner to "ASAP" or "Scheduled"

  • ASAP banners will show on the menu as long as your banner is active
  • Scheduled banners will only show on the menu at the set date(s) and time
    • Scroll to our Scheduling section at the bottom for more information

 

8) Use channel visibility to specialize banners for your website, app, or kiosk

  • Set your channel to ensure the banner only appears on the ECOM service you select
    • Can limit your banner to your website, mobile app, or kiosk
  • By default all services will be selected, so the banner will be visible everywhere

 

9) Create unlimited banners and set them to active/inactive as desired from the Banners page

    • You can see which are active and if the Publish Type is set to ASAP or Scheduled
    • Use the + and - Position buttons to determine the order they appear

Scheduling Banners

Once inside the banner editor you will see the option to assign the banner as "ASAP" or "Scheduled".

Scheduled banners unlock additional settings to choose a date range, time range, and specify recurring days of the week. 

  • The Range Period defines the start and end date that your banner will run

    • The banner will remain on indefinitely if there is no end date
  • Week Days define days of the week the banner will be active within your range period
  • Time defines when your banner will run during those active days
  • The example above shows a scheduled banner set for Fridays and Saturdays between August 5 and August 26, active from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
