Need to add or split a Metrc package in BLAZE? This article is for you! Follow along below to add and split a received Metrc package.
NOTE: The package needs to already have a Metrc tag associated with it, AND Metrc tags must be imported into BLAZE before splitting a Metrc Package.
How to Add a Metrc Package
1. Navigate to the Compliance section on the left-hand side menu and click into the Metrc Packages tab.
2. Click the Add Metrc Package button.
3. Fill out the following mandatory information:
- BLAZE Category: The category in BLAZE that this product will be in.
- BLAZE Product: The product in BLAZE that will be created from the split package (ie 1/8th, 1/4, preroll(s), etc).
- Select Strain: This option is only applicable to flower products (ie Flower, Prerolls, etc)
- Batch: The option(s) that appear will be received Metrc packages.
- Batch Quantity: This information will prepopulate.
- Split Batch: Leave this box unchecked.
- Metrc Tag: Search and select the last 3 digits of an available Metrc tag in BLAZE to associate with this split batch.
- Converted Metrc Quantity: This information will prepopulate.
4. Click the blue Create button.
5. This split package can now be transferred from shop to shop or used to sell within the current shop!
How to Split a Metrc Package
In order to split a Metrc package, it must already be received and associated with a Metrc tag. Additionally, Metrc tags need to be imported into BLAZE before splitting a package.
1. Navigate to the Compliance section on the left-hand side menu and click into the Metrc Packages tab.
2. Click the Add Metrc Package button.
3. Fill out the following mandatory information:
- BLAZE Category: The category in BLAZE that this product will be in.
- BLAZE Product: The product in BLAZE that will be created from the split package (ie 1/8th, 1/4, preroll(s), etc).
- Select Strain: This option is only applicable to flower products (ie Flower, Prerolls, etc)
- Batch: The option(s) that appear will be received Metrc packages.
- Batch Quantity: This information will prepopulate.
- Split Batch: Check this box.
- NOTE: The package needs to already have a Metrc tag associated with it.
- Source Inventory: The option(s) that appear will be the inventory that the Metrc package is already in.
- Metrc Tag: Search and select the last 3 digits of an available Metrc tag in BLAZE to associate with this split batch.
- Converted Metrc Quantity: Enter in a number smaller than the batch quantity.
4. Click the Create button.
5. This split package can now be transferred from shop to shop or used to sell within the current shop!
