This article will explain how to enable and customer experience of the ECOM Guest Checkout feature
Customers can use the Guest Checkout if they have an existing Greenline Dashboard customer profile OR a valid ECOM customer account. If they have just a Greenline customer profile, an ECOM customer profile will be created as well after Guest Checkout, and their email / phone number will be applied to the Greenline customer profile
In order for the Guest Checkout feature to work, please make sure you access your "PickUp" and / or "Delivery" settings in your Mission Control Dashboard and disable the requirements for the upload of a driver's license and a Selfie ID as this would prevent the Guest Checkout feature from working on your ECOM site:
Guest Checkout Setup within Mission Control
Log on to Mission Control and select the SETTINGS tab from the left hand margin, and within the SETTINGS tab click on the "STORE CONFIGURATION" tab
Guest Checkout can be activated by checking the box for "Guest Checkout" under the "Permissions" section in the "SITE CONFIGURATION" tab. The recommended setup within the "Permissions" section to have "Guest Checkout" run smoothly is the following:
- Enable "Guest Checkout"
- Enable "Allow all users in Guest Checkout"
- Disable "Save Checkout Info by Default" (RECOMMENDED)
- If Enabled, customers will be prompted to Sign Up for an ECOM account by default when using Guest Checkout
- "Registration with phone" is set to either "Optional" or "Hidden"
Once all 4 settings have been adjusted as outlined above, the customers will have the possibility to check out from an ECOM site without registering for an actual account:

Please be aware that a Customer Profile will be created for the Guest Checkout within Mission Control. From the Checkout window, the customer type in their details and click on "Continue to Payment".
From there, they get to the order confirmation screen and continue by clicking on "Place Order"
In the next window, the order is confirmed and placed in the system:
Once the order has been submitted successfully, a customer profile will be created within the "Customer" tab inside of Mission Control:
In addition, there will also be a customer profile created within the "Customer List" inside the GREENLINE POS:
Even though there have customer profiles been created for the Guest Checkout in both Mission Control and the GREENLINE POS, the customer will always be able to checkout via Guest Checkout again, for as long as the setting "Allow all users in Guest Checkout" is check-marked under "Store Configuration" within the "Settings" tab:
Please be aware to keep the setting for "Save Checkout Information" disabled, otherwise customers will be asked to sign up for an account during checkout, which is precisely what the "Guest Checkout" feature aims to avoid.
