The Cycle Counts feature streamlines your inventory management, allowing you to quickly and easily adjust your inventory quantities in both BLAZE and your compliance system. This feature is optimized to be used with a barcode scanner for maximum efficiency.

How to Perform a Cycle Count

Navigate to app.blaze.me and log in with your BLAZE credentials.

On the left-hand navigation menu, go to Inventory > Cycle Counts.

Click the New Cycle Count button in the top right corner to start.

New Cycle Count Options
Configure the settings for your new cycle count using the following options:
| Option | Description |
| Inventory Location | Select the specific inventory room or location from the dropdown. |
| Force Scan |
Enabled: Does not allow for manual editing of inventory (Audit Fields) counts. You must scan items. Disabled: Allows for manual editing of inventory (Audit Fields) counts. |
| Blind Count |
Enabled: Hides the expected quantity and differences. Enter the quantity by scanning or manual entry depending on the Force Scan setting. Disabled: Shows the expected quantity and differences in the UI. Enter the quantity by scanning or manual entry depending on the Force Scan setting. |

Configure the specifics of the cycle count adjustment:

Detail Field Description Internal Reason Select an internal BLAZE-only reason for the adjustments. Compliance Adjustment Do not adjust Metrc or Biotrack: If selected, will only adjust BLAZE inventory.
Adjust by Difference: Adjusts the Metrc package based on the "difference" between the current quantity to the actual quantity. Intended for use if your current inventory does NOT equal your Metrc Inventory (e.g., due to unsubmitted transactions).
Adjust by Actual Inventory: Adjusts both BLAZE and your compliance system by the actual value entered.
Compliance Reason Select a compliance reason for the adjustment from the dropdown. Notes Enter notes for internal record purposes.
Add Batches (Optional)
You can opt to manually add specific batches to your cycle count from the modal options.
NOTE: If the Force Scan setting is enabled, you will still be forced to scan the product(s) after manually adding the batches to the list.

Filter Option Description Category Filter by All or an individual category. Brand Filter by All or an individual brand. All in Safe Toggle Yes/No. Not Audited in X days Input a number to pull batches that haven't been audited within that specific timeframe.
Execution and Completion
Begin your count. A visual reference will populate as batches are added and the quantity is scanned or manually entered into the system.

Utilize the action buttons at the bottom of the screen to manage your count:
| Button | Action |
| Cancel | Discards the current cycle count. |
| Refresh System Counts | Refreshes and updates the list to the current expected quantities in the system. |
| Clear All Counts | Clears all data currently entered in the audit column. |
| Complete Cycle Counts | Completes and finalizes the cycle count. |
Once you click Complete Cycle Counts, you will be returned to the main Cycle Counts view.
To view or export your finalized count, click the PDF or CSV icons located under the actions column on the far right.

See actions to the far right to select a PDF or CSV to view
