Retail | Setting Up Your Online Store with BLAZE Widget (iFrame)
This article is designed to help users WITHOUT an existing WooCommerce shop display their Online Menu.
Prerequisites
- A BLAZE account
- A Word Press account (not a WooCommerce shop)
- Products in BLAZE
Overview
1. Enable products in BLAZE to show in Widget
- Log into BLAZE Retail and go to the Inventory section > All.
- Mass select the desired products to show in your online menu.
- Click the Select Action button and select Show in Widget.
- Select Yes and click the Save button.
2. Install BLAZE Retail Widget Plugin
- Log into or create a Wordpress account.
- Navigate to the Plugins section > Add New on the left-hand side menu.
- Search for BLAZE Retail Widget.
- Once the plugin is installed, click the Activate button.
3. Generate an API key in BLAZE
- In BLAZE, go to the Global Settings for the shop you wish to affiliate the Online Store with.
- Navigate to Current Shop Settings > Online Store.
- If not done so already, Enable the Online Store.
- Copy the Online Store Code listed.
4. Enter generated API key in Wordpress
- In Wordpress, navigate to the BLAZE Retail Widget on the left-hand side menu.
- Paste the copied Online Store Code in the Blaze API Key field.
- Click the Save button.
5. Add a page in Wordpress
- In Wordpress, on the BLAZE Retail Widget page, copy the shortcode listed: [blaze_widget]
- Navigate to the Pages section > Add New on the left-hand side menu.
- Add the title of your store.
- Paste the copied shortcode in the "Start writing or type / to chose block" area.
- Click the Preview button to see your populated BLAZE Menu.
- NOTE: For items to appear, they MUST be enabled to show in the widget (see step 1).
6. Customize your shop in BLAZE and / or Wordpress
- In BLAZE, modify settings in your online shop in Global Settings > Current Shop Settings > Online Store and follow the steps listed here.
- In Wordpress, further customization can be done in the Appearance section.
7. Enable queue in BLAZE
- In BLAZE, navigate to Global Settings > Current Shop Settings > Shop Information.
- Click the Edit button in the upper right-hand corner.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page under Queue Management and enable the Special Queue.
- Click the Save button.
8. Publish shop in Wordpress
- In Wordpress, navigate to Pages > All Pages.
- Click the Edit button of the specific shop to publish.
- In the upper right-hand corner, click the Publish button.
