Welcome to our Cloudflare Proxy onboarding guide. This step-by-step process will ensure your site is properly configured to use Cloudflare's proxy service, enhancing security and performance.
Important Note: Transitioning to the CF Workers Proxy Service
This guide applies to both new users and existing users transitioning from our old proxy:
- New Users:
- If your content site is currently using the root domain, you can directly follow the setup steps below without additional adjustments.
- Existing Users on the Old Proxy:
- If your content site is currently using a subdomain, you will need to migrate it to the root domain before proceeding.
- Adjust the DNS settings according to your platform (e.g., WordPress or your CDN).
- This migration requires scheduling to avoid any potential downtime. Please coordinate with your team to plan this transition carefully.
- Once the domain transition is complete, follow the steps outlined below to set up the new Cloudflare proxy.
- Clearing your cache
After completing this integration you will be able to clear your own cache inside of cloud flare below is a screenshot and the Cloudflare article on how to do this when needed
How To Clear Cache in Cloudflare
Step 1: DNS Configuration
To set up Cloudflare Workers and proxy specific paths to your eCommerce site, DNS records must have proxy enabled.
Step 2: Accessing Cloudflare Credentials
- Log in to Cloudflare using the credentials provided for your account.
- Select the appropriate account
- Retrieve your Zone ID and Account ID:
- While on overview scroll down to the “API” section and copy the Zone ID and Account ID.
Step 3: Creating an API Token
- Click on “Get your API token.” If you don't have access, request your admin to create one or higher level access..
- If the “Create Token” option is available:
- Click the button and use the "Edit Cloudflare Workers" template.
- During creation, ensure you select the correct Account and Zone Resources
- Click the button and use the "Edit Cloudflare Workers" template.
- Click “Continue to Summary” and then “Create Token.”
- Copy and securely save the generated token.
Step 4: Information Collection for Onboarding
Share the following details with our team via ecomsupport@blaze.me.
- Account ID, Zone ID, and API token.
- Main domain
Step 5: Launch Day - DNS Record Updates
- New Onboarding Clients (No ECOM integration configured):
- In your domain's Cloudflare DNS settings, configure the primary domain record to "Proxied".
- In your domain's Cloudflare DNS settings, configure the primary domain record to "Proxied".
- Existing ECOM DNS Proxy Clients (ECOM DNS Proxy integration configured):
- Update the following records to the IP and values necessary to connect the Wordpress content site to the main domain natively.
- Note: Updating these record values PRIOR to launch day will disconnect the ECOM integration and result in the menu not loading correctly.

- Update the following records to the IP and values necessary to connect the Wordpress content site to the main domain natively.

- Set these records to "Proxied" in the Cloudflare DNS settings
- Set these records to "Proxied" in the Cloudflare DNS settings
- Once complete and confirmed; the ECOM menu will load on its configured url (Example: dispensarydomain.com/menu)
