ECOM | Enable Marketing Sources on the Sign Up page

This article describes how to add Marketing Sources within the BLAZE POS settings to then show under the "How did you hear about us" drop down on the Sign Up page for customers

This feature is exclusive to the BLAZE POS

 

This article is referring to the Sign Up page within ECOM and the option to show the "How did you hear about us?" field when new customers register on an ECOM site:

 

1. Enable and add "Marketing Sources" within the BLAZE POS

Access the BLAZE POS dashboard and click on "Global Settings" from the left hand margin:

 

Within the "Global Settings", select "Current Shop Settings" and then click on "Shop Information":

 

By clicking on the blue "Edit" icon in the right top corner of the page it is possible to open up the "Shop Information" to be edited:

 

Scroll all the way down till the "Marketing Sources" section becomes visible. In the options field to the right the desired "Marketing Sources" can be added, one by one. Please be aware that a comma ( , ) has to be added at the end of each marketing source typed into this field, only then the added sources will appear in the field.

 

Once all edits have been completed, the changes have to be saved by clicking the blue "SAVE" icon in the right top corner of the "Shop Information" page, please scroll upwards to get there:

Once the edits have been saved successfully, it is recommended to run a manual sync of the POS to have all changes reflect within no time on the ECOM site, even though the automated sync is running every 30 - 60 minutes. In order to run a manual sync of your POS, please use the link below:

2. Enable "Registration With Marketing Source from within Mission Control

Now with the desired Marketing Sources being added and set up within the BLAZE POS, the "How did you hear about us?" drop down has to be enabled within MISSION CONTROL. Log on to Mission Control, and click on "Settings" from the left hand margin. Within "Settings", click on the "Store Configuration" tab and within this tab click on the drop down icon in the row of "Registration with Marketing Source"

Please be aware that only if you select the options "Required" or "Optional" your customers will be prompted with the "How did you hear about us?" drop down on the Sign Up page:
