Growth | Setting Up Wallet Cards
Wallet Cards are digital cards that live in your customers' Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. They give customers a convenient way to view their loyalty status — their current tier, points balance, and progress toward their next reward — directly from their phone.
Wallet cards are also a notification channel; you can send push notifications directly to a customer's phone through their wallet card, without requiring them to install your app.
- Prerequisite - Loyalty must be enabled before you can set up wallet cards. See [Enabling & Configuring Your Loyalty Program] if you have not done this yet.
Before You Begin: Certificates Required
To enable wallet card notifications on both Apple and Google, your store needs to obtain and upload certificates from each platform. This is a one time setup step.
- Apple Wallet - requires an Apple Developer Certificate
- Google Wallet - requires a Google Developer Certificate
Q: Do I need a developer account if I don't have an app?
A: Possibly. Contact your account team to confirm the exact requirements for your situation before starting the certificate process.
You will upload these certificates in the Growth platform under Certificates

Select Add Certificate

Before you can upload a production certificate, you will need to download the CSR(Certificate Signing Request). This CSR will be uploaded in the Apple Developer Portal when generating your Pass Type ID Certificate.

Navigating to Wallet Cards
- Log in to the Growth Platform
- Go to Wallet Cards in the left-hand menu.
- Select Loyalty Card to begin configuring your card.

Configuring your Loyalty Card
Logos
You can upload two logos:
- Small logo(favicon) - these will be seen from Notifications sent from the card; small icon on the card face.
- Large logo - Top of the card on iOS
Logos are optional but recommended for a polished, branded experience.

Card Colors
The primary colors of your loyalty card — including background color and text color — are automatically inherited from your loyalty tier settings. You do not need to set these here; they will update dynamically as a customer moves between tiers.

Background Image
You can upload a custom background image for the card. This could be a branded graphic, a logo, or a lifestyle image that represents your store.
If you prefer a clean, minimal look, you can leave this field empty. The card will default to a solid block of color matching the customer's current tier.

Card Details (Back of Card)
The back of the wallet card shows informational text for your customer. You can configure and rename the following fields to match your brand's language using the Details tab:
- Points Balance
- Points required until next reward
- Current tier
- Links (for example, to your website or online store)
Any text you add or rename here will be reflected on the back of the card.
Notifications & Geo-Triggers
You can configure location-based notification triggers under the **Notifications** tab. This allows you to set a geographic boundary around your store — when a customer enters that area, they will automatically receive a notification via their wallet card.

Note: This feature is currently configured within the Wallet Cards section. In a future update, it will be moved into the Outreach module for more consistent campaign management.
What Wallet Cards Are (and Aren't)
Wallet cards are informational, not transactional. They are not used for payment, they do not have an NFC chip for tapping, and they are not scanned at the register (though check-in functionality may be introduced in a future release).
Their primary purpose is to:
- Give customers easy access to their loyalty information from their phone.
- Serve as a push notification channel that doesn't require your app to be installed.
Metrics for Wallet Card Campaigns
Wallet card campaigns have limited analytics compared to other channels. You will likely see certain metrics displayed as zero in the campaign dashboard — this is expected. The team is working on a better way to communicate this limitation within the platform.
