Learn how to send push notification campaigns and maximize customer engagement.
You must have a Blaze ECOM mobile app to send push notifications through our platform. If you are interested in having our team develop an app for your business, contact us and we will get a demo scheduled.
Push Notifications
When you have a Blaze ECOM mobile app, you can send unlimited, free push notifications to the devices of your app users. These will appear as banners on the phone screen and link the users to the app when they tap on it.
Read below to learn how to build and send them to your app users!
Building Push Notifications
1. Login into Mission Control at https://ecom.blaze.me/
2. Click on 'Campaigns' on the left side of the screen
3. Click 'Add Campaign' to build a new one
4. Campaign Fields Explained:
- Name: Internal name for your campaign that your customers will not see
- Title: This will be the title of your message and appear in big letters on the banner
- Body Description: The will be the supporting text below your title and usually describes the details of what you are advertising in the title
- Destination URL: Direct users to in-app menu, category, and product pages when they open your push notification (check out our article about which URLs work)
- This is optional and push notifications will direct users to your app's home tab by default
- Send to All Stores: If you have multiple stores in your Ecom group, you can toggle this off to restrict the push notification to app users who most recently visited the store menu you are sending this notification from (aka the store selected in the bottom left)
- If you only have one store in your Ecom group, leave this toggled on
5. Sending vs Saving Campaigns (Bottom Right)
- Click 'Save Changes' to return to your campaign and edit or save it later
- Click 'Send' to immediately send the campaign to all app users
Campaigns Tab
Use the campaigns tab to view your saved campaigns or check the results on campaigns you've already sent.
- Name: The internal name you entered for your campaign
- Last Modified: The date you sent the campaign or most recently edited it
- Scheduled: Shows "ASAP" as this is currently the only option
- Delivery Rate: See how many eligible users received your campaign once it is completed
- Seeing a lower delivery rate than expected? Check out our guide on why notifications may fail to deliver to some users
- Status: Will show as 'Draft' if saved for later, 'Sending' if actively sending, or 'Completed' if already sent to all eligible users
- Your campaign should finish sending within a couple of minutes of clicking 'Send'
- Actions: You can clone a campaign to create a duplicate draft, edit a draft campaign, send a draft campaign, or archive campaigns you no longer want to see on this page
