What is Weedmaps Online Ordering?

Weedmaps has standard menu services that provide the ability to display your menu on Weedmaps with additional features such as brand verified products and discovery tags to help better guide your customer's shopping experience. However, online ordering is a new feature of Weedmaps that allows consumers to place orders on weedmaps.com and have those route directly into your BLAZE Retail shop as an incoming order.

 

FAQs

Q: On my Weedmaps menu, the price isn't 100% matching up. What's going on there? 

A: The way WM calculates sales prices is solely through percentages. So when whole numbers are used as the sales price within the product profile, WM translates it to be as close as possible to a percentage amount. There will be some slight discrepancies when displayed on WM, but when the order comes through to BLAZE via WM Online Ordering, it will be with the correct sales price shown in the product profile in BLAZE. If you want to apply sales prices as percentages, you can apply the sales price in bulk

Q: How do I configure my taxes in Weedmaps?
A: You will need to set up your taxes in Weedmaps to mirror what is listed in BLAZE. 

  • In BLAZE, navigate to Global Settings > Current Shop Settings > Tax Option.
  • In WM, navigate to Manage My Business:
    • On the desired shop, click the Edit button.
    • Navigate to the Taxes tab > Enable.
    • Click the Add Tax button.
    • Name the Tax.
    • Enter the Tax Rate.
    • Select the Tax Type.
    • Select the Use Type.
    • Select what categories to apply the tax to.
    • Click the Save button.
    • Repeat as necessary for each tax rate and shop if you have more than one listing (If menu override is enabled, you will only need to configure the master menu).

Q: How do I mirror my payment types in BLAZE to my customers on Weedmaps?
A: At this time, Weedmaps does not offer different payment types to your customers. Payments will be listed as cash.  


Q: How will my fees in Weedmaps / BLAZE get added to my customers on Weedmaps?
A: Any fees created in either Weedmaps or BLAZE will be applied to the cart as adjustments. These adjustments will be created automatically in BLAZE.

  • The fees you have in Weedmaps will apply to your customer's cart when they place the order in Weedmaps.
  • The fees you have in BLAZE will apply to your customer's cart when the order is accepted in BLAZE. 

NOTE: Do NOT create fees in Weedmaps that mirror your fees in BLAZE, this will DUPLICATE the fees applied to your customer's order. 

How to Create Fees in Weedmaps

  • Navigate to Manage Menu > My Deliveries.
  • On the desired shop, click the Edit button.
  • On the General tab, scroll down to Delivery Profile.
  • To add a Service Fee, enter a value between $0 to $5 in the Service Fee field.
  • Click the Save button.
  • Repeat as necessary for each Shop if you have more than one listing (If menu override is enabled, you will only need to configure the Master menu).

NOTE: Do NOT create fees in Weedmaps that mirror your fees in BLAZE, this will DUPLICATE the fees applied to your customer's order. 

How to Create Fees in BLAZE 

  • Navigate to Global Settings > Current Shop Settings > Fees & Minimums.

NOTE:  Delivery Fees will pull from Blaze and will override fees in Weedmaps

Q: Will my BLAZE promos work for my customers on Weedmaps?
A: The short answer is no. You will need to build out promos in Weedmaps for your Weedmaps customers to use. When these promos are received in BLAZE, they will be added as a custom discount with an order note.

  • Create promo in Weedmaps.
  • When used, BLAZE receives promo as a custom discount with a note.

Q: Are my customers on Weedmaps able to select between delivery and pickup?
A: Weedmaps requires you to have both a Dispensary and a Delivery if you want to offer both options to your customers. 

  • Orders placed via Dispensary will be pickup orders.
  • Orders placed via Delivery will be delivery orders (if applicable, delivery fees set up in either BLAZE or Weedmaps will apply).

Q: When an existing member in BLAZE places an order in Weedmaps, does a duplicate profile get created? 
A: If the member's profile created from the order placed on Weedmaps shares the same phone number, the profiles will merge together when the order and / or member is accepted in BLAZE. 

NOTE: The online customer's email comes in as a long string of text, even if their account is associated with an email address in Weedmaps. Once the online customer is accepted, the number will be used to match & merge this customer to an existing member. The email address generated from Weedmaps will replace an existing email address associated with this existing member. We have on our roadmap to support multiple email addresses per member profile! 

Q: How will I be able to track the orders that come in from Weedmaps?
A: A Weedmaps marketing source will be applied to orders and new members. The incoming orders report would show all incoming orders and can be filtered using the applied Weedmaps marketing source. 

Q: Is there a way to specify what inventory or inventories I want to display to my Weedmaps menu, or specify what inventory or inventories I do NOT want to display to my Weedmaps menu? 
A: Yes! You can do this using our Region feature. There are a few considerations to keep in mind when using regions:                                                                                                                        NOTE: When Weedmaps online ordering is enabled, regions are required

  • Regions must be created first (Global Settings > Company Settings > Regions)                                  
  • Regions must be associated with the desired inventory or inventories you DO want to display to your Weedmaps menu (Global Settings > Current Shop Settings > Inventories)
  • Regions must be associated with the desired Weedmaps pin in BLAZE (Global Settings > Integration Settings > Weedmaps > V2)
  • After creating and associating the region in the appropriate areas (Inventory and WM Pin), click the Reset Sync button followed by the Sync Menu button and wait 30-60 mins for the changes to take effect (Global Settings > Integration Settings > Weedmaps > V2)
    NOTE: The region in BLAZE does not need to match the region set in Weedmaps

Q: How can I receive Online Order Email / SMS Notifications?

A: This will be set up in the Weedmaps Admin portal settings for both Email & SMS notifications. 

Q: Why isn't the Schedule Order time in the incoming order?

A:  The Scheduled Order time will be in the Order Notes of the incoming order.  You can enter the scheduled time request with the Update Schedule Time option in the order.
